35. Mr. Russell asked the Minister for Local Government when he proposes to introduce legislation to provide for a speed limit in built-up areas.

Mr. Blaney: I cannot yet indicate when proposals for road traffic legislation will be circulated, nor can I say what the decision will be on any particular issue.

Mr. Russell: Could the Minister indicate when he will be in a position to indicate when he proposes to do so?

Mr. Blaney: In reply to the Deputy's supplementary question, as I stated in reply to a similar type of question a month or so ago, I hope to circulate it during this present year.
