18. Mr. O.J. Flanagan asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission propose to divide the Fetherstonhaugh estate, Killeen, Mountmellick, County Laoighis; and if it will be let for this season so that local landowners may know that the division will not be prepared before the end of spring.

Mr. Childers: The Land Commission have reached agreement with the owner for the purchase of this estate but they have not yet obtained possession of the property.

Possession will be taken following clearance of vendor's title to the lands, but, as this may take some time, it is most unlikely that allotment will be feasible during the coming spring.
