23. Mr. Corish asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of recipients of home assistance transferred to disabled persons maintenance allowance during the past two years.

Mr. Kennedy: The information asked for by the Deputy is not of a type ordinarily furnished by the public assistance authorities and is not available in my Department.

Mr. Corish: Would the Parliamentary Secretary not request the information from the local authorities?

Mr. Kennedy: It would take very considerable time.

Mr. Corish: I do not think it would. Does the Parliamentary Secretary say that he will not do that?

Mr. Kennedy: He does not say anything.
