Mr. Desmond Mr. Desmond Mr. Desmond asked the Minister for Health whether an application has been received from South Cork Board of Public Assistance requesting sanction to increase employees' wages by 10/- per week as from 1st January, 1958; and, if so, what is the present position regarding the application. Mr. MacEntee Mr. MacEntee Mr. MacEntee: I have not received such an application from the South Cork Board of Public Assistance. Mr. Desmond Mr. Desmond 145 Mr. Desmond: Is the Minister not aware of the receipt in his Department of such a request from the South Cork [145] Board of Public Assistance, which includes members of his own Party, in respect of wage increases as and from 1st January? It is in his Department. Mr. MacEntee Mr. MacEntee Mr. MacEntee: I am aware that at the time this reply was drafted and at the time when I considered the terms of it, we had not received the request.
