Mr. Larkin asked the Minister for Agriculture whether the Government have yet reached a decision on the recommendation [1303] by the Capital Investment Advisory Committee that the agricultural grant in its present form should be abolished and the money used to encourage the use of fertilisers; and whether the Inter-Departmental Committee set up to consider this recommendation has yet reported.

Mr. Smith: The answer to the first part of the question is “No”. The Inter-Departmental Committee referred to by the Deputy has submitted a report.
