[797] Mr. M.J. O'Higgins asked the Minister for Justice if he will state (1) (a) the total quantity of petrol consumed, and (b) the average consumption per mile, of the State cars used by each Minister and Parlimentary Secretary from the date of his appointment to the 31st May, 1957, (2) the total estimated annual expenditure on petrol and oil for such vehicles, and (3) the anticipated increase in such expenditure as a result of the Budget.

The following is the statement:—

(b) Average Miles per gallon of cars used by Minister and Parliamentary Secretaries from date of their appointment to 31/5/57:—
