[569] Mr. J.J. Burke asked the Minister for Agriculture if the action of the Government in disposing as animal feeding stuffs, at a loss of £150,000, of 15,000 tons of wheat, bought at the subsidised price for flour milling, may be regarded as precedent for the disposal of future wheat surpluses.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Moylan): The answer is “no”. say, however, that I am at present looking into the problem of handling surpluses which may arise in the future.
