Mr. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the amount paid during the last butter production period to meet cold storage expenses.

Mr. Moylan: The amount of allowances payable for cold storage of butter during the production year ended 30th April, 1957, is estimated at £352,000 of which £180,000 was paid during the financial year 1956-57, the balance being payable during the current financial year.
