Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly Telephone Exchange.

Mr. K.P. Egan asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the fact that there is a demand for the service and that the necessary number of subscribers is available, he will consider opening a telephone exchange at Five Alley, Birr.

Mr. Corish: Inquiries made indicate that there is not sufficient demand to justify the establishment of an exchange at Five Alley at present.
