Dáil Éireann - Volume 157 - 08 May, 1956

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Trawler at Drogheda.

Mr. James Tully asked the Minister for Defence whether a naval patrol boat was in the Drogheda area on the morning of 1st March, 1956, and, if so, why it did not intercept the foreign trawler which was fishing off Drogheda Bar on the previous night.

Minister for Defence (General MacEoin): A Naval Service corvette was not in the Drogheda area on the [12] date mentioned. The second part of the question does not, therefore, arise.
