Dáil Éireann - Volume 154 - 08 February, 1956
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tax Concessions for Industrialists.
Mr. O'Malley Mr. O'Malley
Mr. O'Malley asked the Minister for Finance whether he has under consideration proposals to grant tax concessions to Irish industrialists similar to those being offered to foreigners, and, if so, if he will state the nature of such proposals.
Mr. Sweetman Mr. Sweetman
Mr. Sweetman: I assume that the Deputy is referring to the temporary tax concessions for certain mining enterprises embodied in the Bill which will be before the House later to-day. As the Deputy will see from the terms of Section 2 of that Bill, there is no foundation for the implication underlying his question.
