Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Oil Refinery.

Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if the three oil companies concerned have submitted detailed proposals for the establishment of an oil refinery; if so, whether these proposals have been approved by the Government and will be published to Dáil Éireann; and, if not, whether he is prepared to state the position in which the matter now stands.

Mr. Corish: The Industrial Development Authority recently received proposals from the companies concerned and they are at present engaged in the examination of these proposals. Pending the receipt of the authority's report I am not in a position to make a further statement on the matter.
