Dáil Éireann - Volume 153 - 14 December, 1955 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Lands. Mr. Crowe Mr. Crowe Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of South Tipperary (1) the acreage of all lands acquired by the Land Commission since 1st January, 1949, and the date of acquisition in each case, (2) which of these lands have been allotted and the date of allotment, (3) the income from lettings or otherwise received by the Land Commission in respect of these lands in each year since acquisition, and (4) in the case of lands acquired before 30th June, 1954, what progress has been made towards effecting allotment, and when it is expected that allotment will be made. Mr. Blowick Mr. Blowick Mr. Blowick: The information sought in parts (1) and (2) of the question is contained in a tabular statement which, with the Ceann Comhairle's permission, will be circulated in the Official Report. Part (3) cannot be readily answered from the normal records kept by the Land Commission and the extraction of the detailed information called for would involve considerable research and expense which could not be justified. 1411 1412 As to part (4) there are so many uncertainties [1411] involved in the work of land division that it would be quite impracticable for me to forecast virtually the entire allotment programme for South Tipperary for the next season or two. If the Deputy sends me particulars of [1412] any cases in which he is specially interested, I will see whether I can suggest the probable dates on which allotment will take place in those cases. Following is the statement:— IRISH LAND COMMISSION. PARTICULARS OF LANDS ACQUIRED AND RESUMED IN THE SOUTH RIDING OF TIPPERARY SINCE 1ST JANUARY, 1949.
