Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total amount charged in the E.S.B. accounts in respect of income-tax in each of the years 1952-53 and 1954-55.

Mr. Norton: I am informed by the E.S.B. that the amounts charged in the board's accounts in respect of income-tax were as follows:—1952-53, £70,000; 1953-54, nil; 1954-55, £100,000.
