Mr. Seán Casey asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state when a decision is likely to be given in regard to the proposals submitted to his Department by the Cork Corporation for the construction of 253 dwellings and 11 shop-dwellings in the Pearse Road extension scheme, Cork City.

Mr. Davin: Approval has issued to the development plans submitted by the Cork Corporation in respect of the erection of 303 dwellings and 11 shop-dwellings at Pearse Road extension.

[799] Mr. Seán Casey asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the Cork Corporation have submitted proposals to his Department to have the erection of dwellings in the Grattan Street scheme carried out by their direct labour unit, and, if so, if he will approve the application.
