Patrick McGrath and Jack Lynch asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the date on which the inquiry regarding the Cork Corporation's application for a bridge Order for the replacing of the present Parnell Bridge by a fixed bridge was held, and when it is hoped to issue the report of the inquiry.

Minister for Local Government (Mr. O'Donnell): The inquiry into the application of the Cork Corporation for a bridge Order for the construction of a new bridge to replace Parnell Bridge was opened on the 11th May, 1954. The evidence given at the inquiry [791] is at present being examined and a decision on the application will issue as soon as possible.
