Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will make a statement on the intentions of the Government in regard to the future control of tea imports.

[7] Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Norton): I am not yet in a position to make a statement in regard to future importations of tea. Pending final examination of the matter, Tea Importers, Limited will continue to be responsible for importing this country's tea requirements direct from countries of origin.
