Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arms Importation into Six Counties.

Mr. O. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the British police authorities have requested the co-operation of the Garda Síochána in preventing the importation of arms into the Six Counties; whether any such co-operation has been afforded; and, if so, to what extent.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Boland): This is the sort of question that it is not in the public interest to answer.

Mr. O. Flanagan: It is quite all right. You will not be there in two months' time to answer.

Mr. Boland: If it is somebody else's job then let them answer.

Mr. Sweetman: Now you are saying something.

Mr. Boland: If. It is a big “if.”

A Deputy: It will not be long now.

Mr. Boland: Do not be too sure.

Donnchadh Ó Briain: Neosfaidh an aimsear.

Mr. Boland: Time will tell.
