Mr. Sweetman asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state when it is expected that the textbook on local government law, towards the cost of which moneys have been provided by his Department, will be published.

Mr. Smith: I cannot give an exact date for publication but final proofs are now being corrected.

Mr. Sweetman: Is the Minister aware that he told me a short time ago that we could expect it by now?

Mr. Smith: It is a good job that things have not changed for the worse.

Mr. Sweetman: Apparently they have not changed much for the better, either.
