Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahirciveen Tenancies.

Mr. J. Flynn asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction expressed by applicants regarding the method of selection of tenants in respect of houses recently erected in Cahirciveen; and, if so, whether he will have the matter investigated by his Department.

Minister for Local Government (Mr. Smith): There is no information in my Department of any general dissatisfaction in regard to the selection of tenants for the Cahirciveen scheme.

Mr. J. Flynn: I would submit the information to the Minister and I would ask that this matter be examined on that evidence.

[193] An Ceann Comhairle: That is not a question.

Mr. Smith: The Deputy is aware of the procedure followed by all local bodies in the selection of tenants for new houses. As I have told him in the reply, my Department has no information of any kind to show that there was any volume of dissatisfaction in this regard.
