Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Market for Sheeps Wool.

Mr. Hession asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the prospects for a stable market for the sale of sheeps wool over the next few months.

Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Lemass): Raw wool is not subject to export control and prices are therefore governed by world conditions. It would be difficul to attempt to forecast future price trends, but I have seen it stated in a responsible journal that the general expectation is that next September prices will open at around present levels.
