Mr. Rooney Mr. Rooney

Mr. Rooney asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the price per barrel which will be guaranteed and paid for Irish-grown wheat for the 1954 season and also the price to be paid for sugar beet.

Mr. Walsh: The question of the price to be fixed for home-grown wheat of the 1954 crop has not yet been considered by the Government. The price to be paid for sugar beet is a matter for arrangement between Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann and the growers.
