Mr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state when it is proposed to extend the rural electrification scheme to the [158] Knockcroghery area, County Roscommon.

Mr. Lemass: I am informed by the E.S.B. that Knockcroghery area has been considered by the board on a number of occasions but has not so far been selected for development under the rural electrification scheme. The area will again be considered for selection in due course but I am unable to state when development is likely to take place.
