Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Lemass): I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that an official canvass of the residents of the Annascaul area under the rural electrification scheme is at present in progress but it is not possible at this stage to say when the area may be selected for development. The board further inform me that the possibility of developing an area in the vicinity of Dingle will be considered as soon as the board's supply is available at Dingle. Negotiations are at present proceeding in connection with the acquisition by the board of the existing electricity undertaking at that centre.
