Mr. M.P. Murphy asked the Minister for Finance if any further grants from the special employment schemes office will be allocated for schemes in West Cork during the current year.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance (Mr. Beegan): The funds provided in the current financial year for the type of scheme referred to have all been fully allocated, and there are no funds at my disposal from which to augment the schemes already sanctioned.

West Cork has been allocated its due share of the funds made available for employment schemes, pro rata to the number of men in the area in receipt of unemployment assistance.
