Mr. Davin Mr. Davin Mr. Davin asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the rates of wages paid to forestry workers in the counties of (1) Laoighis and (2) Offaly, in February, 1948, and the rates sanctioned to date for each area. Minister for Lands (Mr. Derrig) Thomas Derrig Minister for Lands (Mr. Derrig): Forestry labourers in general were paid at the rate of 52/- a week in Laoighis and Offaly in February, 1948, although the rate was 54/- a week in some cases.
