Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Bridge.

Mr. Keane asked the Minister for Local Government if he will obtain a report from the Cork County Council on the condition of the bridge over the Blackwater river at Ballyhooly and ascertain specifically whether there is an immediate danger of the collapse of this bridge due to the heavy traffic passing over it.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government (Mr. Corish): I shall ask the Cork County Council to furnish a report on the [665] lines requested by the Deputy, and shall inform him of the terms of the report in due course.

I would, however, point out that the extent and location of the road works to be carried out in their area is primarily a matter for each road authority.
