Mr. Kitt asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when work is expected to commence on the extension of the electricity supply to the Caltra-Castleblakeney - Mountbellew - Moylough area under the rural electrification scheme.

Mr. Morrissey: I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the area referred to by the Deputy has been approved by the board for development under the rural electrification scheme subject to the satisfactory completion of negotiations at present proceeding for the acquisition by the board of the local privately owned electricity undertaking at Mountbellew.
