Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Lands.

Mr. Breslin asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that an offer to sell an area of 400 acres in the townland [1514] of Cloghercor, Doochary, County Donegal, for State foresty purposes has been made to his Department (References 25/110/F) and if he will state why the areas has been found on inspection to be unsuitable for these purposes.

Mr. Blowick: An area inspected in conection with this offer was found to be unsuitable for afforestation purposes owing to its very poor soil conditions and its exposed location. As there appears to be a doubt between the forestry division and the owner in regard to the precise area offered, the matter is being reopened with a view to definite location of the actual offer.
