[772] Mr. T. Walsh asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if in view of the present transport position, he will permit private persons to operate buses on new routes.

Mr. Morrissey: In view of the inquiry into transport which is proceeding, I would not be prepared to consider the granting of licences to private persons for the operation of new omnibus services.
