Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Release of Irish Prisoners.

Mr. Dunne asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will make representations to the British Government with a view to securing the release of Irish prisoners at present serving long [624] sentences as a result of bombing incidents, which occurred in 1938-39.

Mr. MacBride: I have already made representations and conveyed to the British Government the hope that it will find it possible to examine the cases of the Irish prisoners referred to, with a view to securing their release at an early date.
