Mr. M.J. O'Higgins asked the Minister [198] for Local Government if it is intended that local elections will be held in June, 1948.

Mr. Murphy: It is not intended to hold the triennial local elections next June. The reconstitution of local authorities whose members at present stand removed from office is under consideration and elections may be held in these cases.
