Dáil Éireann - Volume 105 - 23 April, 1947

Written Answer. - Civil Servants.

Mr. Davin asked the Minister for Finance if he will furnish particulars of the number of civil servants employed, as at 1st January, in each of the years 1939, 1940, 1944, 1945, 1946 and 1947; if he will indicate the number (a) established, and (b) unestablished, and the cost, during the previous year, of the salaries, wages and allowances of such civil servants; and if he will further state the portion of the total cost represented by the cost-of-living bonus.
