Mr. O'Donnell asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state how much of the 5,300 tons of maize recently arrived in this country was landed at Waterford; how much more maize he anticipates will be landed at Waterford during the coming months; and how much of this maize will be available for sale in County Tipperary.

Dr. Ryan: A consignment of approximately 5,300 tons of maize, recently imported, was landed at Waterford. At the moment it is not possible to say what further quantities of maize will be landed at Waterford or other ports during the coming months or what quantity will be allocated to maize-meal millers in County Tipperary.
