[37] Mr. Moran asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a scheme for the repair of Bunlough Pier in the Louisburgh area of County Mayo was approved by the office of Public Works a considerable time ago; if he will state when it is proposed to commence this work, and the reasons for the delay in starting it.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance (Mr. Smith): The proposed works at Bunlough do not provide for the repair of the existing pier or breakwater. It is intended to erect a boat slip and boat yard at Bunlough and it is hoped to begin operations there early this season.
