Mr. Blowick asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has formulated any plan for the absorption of agricultural and turf workers in the post-war period who are at present prevented from obtaining employment elsewhere.

Mr. Lemass: It is assumed that the Deputy's question relates to work schemes financed out of State funds. Amongst the public works contemplated in the post-war period will be works of various kinds in rural areas on which unemployed agricultural and turf workers will have opportunities of employment.
