Mr. Bennett (for Dr. O'Higgins) asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state how many private cars have been issued with discs for the present month; and of these, how many belong to (a) clergymen, (b) doctors, (c) midwives, (d) veterinary surgeons, and (e) others.

Mr. Lemass: Discs for the month of May, 1942, have been issued to date in respect of 6,841 private cars owned by:—

(a) Clergymen	2,395
(b) Medical doctors	1,536
(c) Midwives	137
(d) Veterinary surgeons	193
(e) Others, i.e., cars used by State and local authorities and certain public utility undertakings	2,580
