Risteárd Ua Maolchatha asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state whether he has received complaints that persons who received food vouchers for bread from the Dublin Board of Public Assistance have not been able to obtain bread from traders on these vouchers; and if he will state whether he proposes to have steps taken to see that bread will be available for all persons to whom such vouchers are issued.
Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass
Mr. Lemass: Some complaints of the nature referred to by the Deputy have been received. All such complaints were investigated by the outdoor officers of my Department and steps taken to ensure that sufficient supplies of bread were available for the holders of these food vouchers.
