Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when it is proposed to bring the County Management Act, 1940, into force.

Mr. MacEntee: The Act will be brought into operation as soon as possible after the amending Act, which is at present before the Oireachtas, has become law.
