Public Hospitals (Amendment) Bill, 1939—First Stage.

Leave was granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to make provision for the discharge, in case of an emergency, of the expenses incurred in holding a Sweepstake under the Public Hospitals Act, 1933, and for that purpose to provide for the establishment of a Reserve Fund and to amend the said Act.—Acting Minister for Local Government and Public Health (Mr. Boland).

Second Stage ordered for Wednesday, 21st June.
