Dáil Éireann - Volume 63 - 15 July, 1936 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathgormack (County Waterford) Telephone Service. Mr. Wall Mr. Wall Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that there is no telephone service to Rathgormack (County Waterford) Gárda Station or Rathgormack village: that the nearest point at which such a service is available is Carrick-on-Suir, about five miles away, and if he will have inquiries made with a view to having the telephone service extended to this important station. Acting Minister for Justice (Mr. Boland) Acting Minister for Justice (Mr. Boland) Acting Minister for Justice (Mr. Boland): I am aware that a telephone service has not been provided at Rathgormack Gárda Síochána Station. It is estimated that the capital charge for providing an exchange line to this station would be £260, and the annual rental £24, and it has been considered that, having regard to these figures, an installation would not be justifiable. If circumstances alter so as to permit installation at a lower cost the matter will be reconsidered. Dáil Éireann 63 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers.
