Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney (for Mr. McGilligan) Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney (for Mr. McGilligan) Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney (for Mr. McGilligan) asked the Minister for Finance (1) if his attention has been directed to a statement, published in the newspapers of 16th April last and alleged to have been made by a Fianna Fáil Deputy, in connection with the restricted acreage for tobacco-growing and the price of ⅓ proposed to the effect that (a) the Revenue Commissioners were responsible; (b) they were opposed to the growing of Irish tobacco, and (c) the Minister was more or less in their hands; (2) if it is his intention to take the steps necessary to enable him freely to carry out Government policy in this matter.
