Mr. Nally Mr. Nally Mr. Nally asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will now state the cause of the delay by the Irish Land Commission in acquiring the lands of Claggernagh East and Claggernagh West, held by Mr. Matthew Fahy, for the purpose of relieving the acute congestion existing in the parish of Islandeady, where the poor law valuation of over 100 tenants is under £5 each. Mr. Aiken Mr. Aiken Mr. Aiken: The Deputy has already been informed as to the circumstances of the case. With a view to relieving local congestion the Land Commission have been in negotiation with Mr. Matthew Fahy for the acquisition of his lands at Claggernagh West, which were purchased under the Land Purchase Acts, but it has not yet been possible to acquire them.
