Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon asked the Minister for Education whether he can give the programme in English sanctioned for infants' classes in schools in which Irish is taught as a subject for an hour a day. Minister for Education (Mr. Derrig) Thomas Derrig Minister for Education (Mr. Derrig): The programme of instruction in national schools does not contemplate the teaching of English as a subject in infants' classes and there is, consequently, no official programme for English in these classes. Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon: Is there an official programme in these schools for any other subject? Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig: Yes. Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon Mr. Dillon: Would the Minister give us that programme? Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig: I have sent a copy of the programme to the Deputy.
