Mr. Norton asked the Minister for Finance whether in view of the frequent flooding of the Moneen River, Athy, and the consequent damage to adjoining lands he will undertake the drainage of the river as part of the Barrow Drainage Scheme.

Mr. Flinn: Part of the Moneen River has been included in the Barrow Drainage Scheme, and it is not proposed to execute any additional works on this river.

Mr. Norton: asked the Minister for Finance whether it is proposed to include the drainage of the Bennettsbridge River, Athy, in the Barrow Drainage Scheme.

Mr. Flinn: It is not proposed to include the Bennettsbridge River in the Barrow Drainage Scheme.
