Dáil Éireann - Volume 29 - 17 April, 1929

Private Business. - Business of the Dáil.

[390] The President: Subject to there being no objection, I propose to take Private Members' time to-day, and also on Wednesday and Friday next, and then to allot time in the week following the introduction of the Budget for Private Business, with a view to having items 8, 9 and 10 disposed of on a particular date. I expect that agreement can be reached as to the number of hours to be allotted for their consideration by the Committee of Procedure and Privileges. The suggestion I make does not involve any surrender of time, except in the matter of allowing them to stand over for a short time.

Mr. de Valera: Did I understand the President to say that Nos. 9 and 10 will be taken on separate days?

The President: I expect they will require separate days.

An Ceann Comhairle: Private Members' Business will not be taken to-day so that consideration of the Estimates will not be interrupted at nine o'clock.
