Mr. CARTY asked the Minister for Fisheries whether the Land Commission have acquired 315 acres of land in the townland of Caltra, on the Slush Estate, at Easky, Co. Sligo; and, if so, whether he will state the terms on which it has been acquired, and when it is proposed to have this land subdivided amongst the uneconomic holders in the vicinity.

PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTER for FISHERIES (Mr. Roddy): The lands of Caltragh referred to by the Deputy have not yet been acquired. The Land Commission are in negotiation with the owners with a view to their acquisition.
