CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. (ORAL ANSWERS.) - CLAIMS FOR NATIONAL INSURANCE BENEFITS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN asked the Minister  for Local Government and Public Health if he can state the total number of (a) men and (b) women who were in effective membership of approved societies at December 31st in each of the last five years for which this information is available; if he can state the number of new claims for sickness benefit received by approved societies from men and women respectively who were not entitled to receive benefit in respect of the first three days of their illness in each of these periods; the total number of weeks' benefit in respect of sickness and disablement paid out of the Approved Societies' Funds and out of the Deposit Contributors' Fund to (a) men and (b) women, during each such period.
