[2761] PARTHOLAN O CONCHUBHAIR asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has any power to order the County Dublin County Council to keep the road from Skerries to Dublin in better repair than at present.

MINISTER for LOCAL GOVERNMENT and PUBLIC HEALTH (Mr. Burke): The answer is in the affirmative. A new county surveyor has just been appointed.

The Chief Roads Engineer of the Department is at present engaged on a special inspection of the roads in Co. Dublin in connection with the trunk road scheme completely received from the County Council on the 18th inst. It is expected that under this scheme portions of the road from Dublin to Skerries will receive attention.
