CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR DECEASED TECHNICAL TEACHER.

TOMAS O CONAILL asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that Seán McGrath, Technical Teacher, was killed on the 6th February, 1923, at Ballyconnell, on the occasion of a raid on that town by Irregulars; whether he is aware that this man contributed very materially to the upkeep of his father and the younger members of the family; and whether in the circumstances the Minister is prepared to consider favourably a claim for compensation made by his father, John McGrath, of Lurgan, Miltown, Tuam.

MINISTER for FINANCE (Mr. Blythe): This claim is being considered by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee, who will shortly [898] submit their report, which will be disposed of without delay.
